Be calm: Staff will take their signal from you and follow your lead
Words matter: Speak in the affirmative with words of optimism and hope
Communicate: Create consistent channels to communicate the plan
Be present: Engage with front line staff and provide accurate information
Listen: Remember, it is not about you
Engage others: Tap into talents of others on your team and share the journey
Be prepared: Stay up to date with current information
Self-care: Get adequate rest, schedule time for reflection and self care
Show gratitude: Be generous with appreciation and sparing with criticism
Speak the truth: Give honest feedback to those making policy decisions
